Hello and welcome to KGM Studio. My name is Tina, and I'm so blessed and highly favored because of what God is doing today. Thank you for joining me. Well, last night I experienced something I had never done before. We had an all-night prayer gathering from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. One of my dear friends who is a minister led the prayer call, and it was such a phenomenal time in God's presence. Believers from different places came together as one body of Christ. We prayed, shared God's word, worshiped through song, and encouraged one another. It reminded me of Matthew 18 20, where Jesus says, For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. Around 3 o'clock a.m. I start getting tired. My body wanted to sleep, but my spirit wanted to keep pressing in. I reminded myself that I needed to finish what I had started. Sometimes that's exactly what the Christian journey requires: persevering until the end. The Apostle Paul writes in 2 Timothy 4 7. I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. As believers, we are called to finish the race faithfully. Last time I mentioned about three important aspects of worship: reverence, service, and acknowledging God. Today I want to focus on reverence. Worshiping God through reverence. For me, worshiping is often very personal. Spending time alone with God in my prayer room, my prayer closet, meeting him at the foot of the cross, it's simply me, the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Sometimes I'll keep my guitar and sing songs to him. Other times I'll sit quietly in his presence, pray, and pour out my heart before him. There have been moments during worship when I have experienced God's peace, healing, and deliverance. His presence changes everything. The Bible tells us in John 4, 23 to 24, yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth. That is the kind of worship God desires, not merely songs, but hearts fully surrendered to him. Many times I worship because I need to need to return to my first love. In the middle of life's busyness, worship reminds me who I belong to. It reminds me of my identity in Christ and brings me back into fellowship with him. As Revelation 2, 4 through 5 reminds us, you have forsaken the love you had at first. Repent and do the things you did at first. Worship helps us return to that place of intimacy with God. He is the sovereign Lord, the creator of heaven and earth. He created created us in his image and likeness. Genesis 127 says, So God created mankind in his own image. In the image of God, he created them. Because he created us in his image, he also placed gifts, creativity, purpose, and destiny inside each one of us. Everything good that flows from our lives should ultimately point back to him. I don't seek the Lord for myself because all glory belongs to God. Many times I honestly don't know what I'm doing. I simply pray, Holy Spirit help me. And he does. Jesus promised us in John 16 13. When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. The Holy Spirit faithfully leads us when we surrender to him. Proverbs 3 5 to 6 also reminds us, trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your path straight. I can say from experience that God truly directs our steps. What does it mean to reverence God? Last time we talked about reverence as obeying God's voice, keeping his commandments, turning away from evil. But how do we recognize God's voice? We recognize his voice by spending time with him. We recognize his voice by reading his word. Jesus said in John 10 27, My sheep listen to my voice, I know them and they follow me. The more time we spend in Scripture, the more familiar we become with the voice of our shepherd. Sometimes people read the Bible as if it were just another book, but the Bible is much more than that. It is God's living word, it is his love letter to us, it is his instruction manual for life. It is alive and active. Hebrews 4 12 says, For the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. Every time we open the scriptures, God speaks to us. There are thousands of promises throughout God's Word. Those promises strengthen our faith and teach us how to pray. When we pray according to God's word, our faith grows because we are praying his will. Isaiah 55 11 says, So is my word that goes out from my mouth, it will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I desire. God always fulfills his promise according to his perfect will and timing. Keeping God's commandments is another way we show reverence to God is by obeying his commandments. When Moses went up to Mount Sinai, God gave him the Ten Commandments. While Moses was on the mountain, the Israelites became impatient. They asked Aaron to make them a golden calf to worship. Instead of trusting God, they turned to idolatry. This reminds us how quickly our hearts can drift away when we stop waiting on God. The Ten Commandments teach us how to honor Him and love others. In Psalms 211 it says, Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. This kind of fear is not being afraid of God as though he wants to harm us. Rather, it is a holy reverence and deep respect for who he is. Think of it this way. Imagine you accidentally broke a window while playing baseball. You know your father may be disappointed, not because he doesn't love you, but because he has taught you what is right. You respect him enough to be honest and tell him what had happened instead of hiding it. That is similar to having the fear of the Lord. It is living with the awareness that God sees everything, knows everything, and loves us enough to correct us when we wander away. We don't obey him because we are terrified. We obey him because we love him and honor him as our heavenly Father. Proverbs 9 10 says, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. When we reverence God, we desire to turn away from sin and walk in obedience, because we want our lives to honor Him. The writer of Hebrews reminds us in Hebrews 12, 28 through 29, therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace by which we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and godly fear, for our God is a consuming fire. What an incredible promise. We belong to a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Jesus proclaimed, the kingdom of God is at hand. When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are born again, we become citizens of God's kingdom, his Holy Spirit lives within us, empowering us to represent Christ everywhere we go. God is looking for willing vessels, he is looking for men and women who will become his hands, his feet, and his voice to hurting world. In Isaiah 6 8 says, Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And I said, Here I am, send me. God is still asking that question today. He desires his sons and daughters to walk in holiness, purity, forgiveness, and love. Whenever we sin, we can repent and ask him to search our hearts. Psalms 139, 23 to 24 says, Search me, O God, and know my heart. See if there is any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. God continually pours out his grace upon us so that we can worship him with reverence and serve him faithfully. So one beautiful example of reverence is in Numbers 20, verse 6. So Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance of the tabernacle a meeting. And they fell on their faces, and the glory of the Lord appeared to them. Notice what happened first. They humbled themselves before God. They fell on their faces in worship, and then the glory of the Lord appeared. There are times when we kneel before God, lift our hands, or simply become still in his presence. Those outward expressions are not about religious tradition. They reflect a heart that recognizes God's majesty and holiness. Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Moses and Aaron experienced God's presence because they cultivated intimacy with him. Jesus also tells us in John 15, 5, I am divine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him bears much fruit, for without me you can do nothing. Amen. Just as a branch must remain connected to the vine, we must remain connected to Christ through prayer, through worship, and his word. Another powerful example is found in 1 Chronicles 21 16. Then David lifted his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord. So David and the elders clothed in sacklot fell on their faces. David's response was humility and worship. Personally I've never visibly encountered an angel, although I do believe God sends his angels to protect his children. Psalm 911 says, For he shall give his angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. There have been times in my own life when I sense God's divine protection, and I thank him for his faithfulness. Throughout history, many people have shared accounts of visions and angelic encounters. While these testimonies can be encouraging, our faith must always be grounded in God's word rather than in personal experiences. The Bible remains our final authority. As we look around today, we can see that our world is experiencing uncertainty, conflict, and division. Yet in the midst of it all, God is still on the throne. Our hope is not in our circumstances, but in Jesus Christ. We continue praying for our nation, our communities, and our leaders, believing that God is able to bring revival, healing, and restoration. As believers, our calling remains the same. Obey God's word, keep His commandments, turn away from evil, worship Him in spirit and in truth. This is what reverence looks like. It is a living it is living a life of devotion, intimacy, and surrender because God desires our hearts more than our religious activities. Walking with Christ is not always easy. Jesus told us there would be trials. The enemy will often try to discourage us, distract us, and oppose what God has called us to do. But we are not called to quit. We are called to keep running the race of faith. Hebrews 12 1 to 2 says, Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. The reason Jesus died on the cross and rose again was to give us victory over sin and death. As believers, we don't live as defeated people. We live from Christ's victory. Romans 8 37 reminds us, yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Let me repeat that again. It says, yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. When spiritual battles come, we stand on God's promises. We plead the blood of Jesus over our families and over ourselves. We pray for healing. We pray for deliverance. We pray for protection. We pray for God's will to be accomplished in every area of our lives. God has a purpose for every believer, whether he calls you to be a missionary, an evangelist, a teacher, a business owner, a parent, or simply someone who encourages others with a smile or a kind word, every calling matters in the kingdom of God. Jesus said in Matthew 5.14, 16, You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. God wants to use his sons and daughters to bring hope to a hurting world. He is simply waiting for willing hearts that will say, Here I am, Lord, use me. When we spend time worshiping with Him with intimacy and devotion, He transforms us from the inside out and prepares us for the work He has called us to do. As we remain faithful, God opens doors according to His perfect will. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 75, 6 through 7, for exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west, but God is the judge. He puts down one and exalts another. Our promotion comes from the Lord. Let me say that again. Our promotion comes from the Lord. And whatever He entrusts to us is ultimately for His glory. Develop the fruit of the Spirit in their lives, and stir up the spiritual gifts you have placed within them, so they may serve you faithfully. I pray for healing over every person who is sick, peace for those who are anxious, strength for those who are weary, and freedom for those who need deliverance. You are Jehovah Rapha, our healer, and nothing is impossible for you. Let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. May every listener walk in your purpose, your peace, and your presence each day. We give you all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
