Welcome to KGM Studio. It's a pleasure to be back with you again. This is Tina, and I'm so excited to come back on here for another Worship Wednesday. It is such an amazing time to worship God in spirit and in truth. John 4 24 says, God is spirit and his worshipers must worship in the spirit and in truth. One of the things God has placed on my heart to talk about today is inheritance and promise. This is actually based on chapter 2 of my book in his kingdom. As I was reading through some of the chapters in my book, I was reminded of how God gave me Israel, God gave Israel many promises, including an inheritance for his children who believe in him and in his son Jesus Christ. When we think about inheritance in the natural, we think about what parents leave for their children. Maybe they leave them a house, a car, a property, a percentage of money in the bank, or other possessions. But I started thinking, how much more valuable is the inheritance that comes from God? Amen. One of the scriptures that came to mind is Matthew 5.5, where Jesus said, Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Now when we hear the word meek, it doesn't mean a weak. Meekness means having a gentle, humble, and surrendered spirit. When you have a heart that seeks the Lord, when you are gentle, kind, humble, and willing to follow Him, God promises an inheritance, inheritance. And that inheritance isn't simply about material possessions, it includes the spiritual blessings, promises, and eternal hope that we have in Christ. Psalms 37 4 says, Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. I remember being at the lake one time, spending time with God, and suddenly I had a vision of Jesus. I was reminded of the scripture and it made me think about how God can place desires in our hearts that align with his will. When we delight ourselves in the Lord, our hearts begin to align with his heart. And that is part of the inheritance of walking with God. Another powerful example is Abraham. God made Abraham a promise that he would come, become the father of a great nation. Genesis 12 2 to 3 says, I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you. I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you, I will curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Amen. God also promised Abraham a land in Genesis 12 7, where he says, To your offspring I will give this land. That promise did not happen overnight. Abraham had to wait. His descendants went through trials. And eventually the Israelites spent approximately 400 years in Egypt, including years of slavery. Wow. Then God raised up Moses to lead his people out of Egypt and toward the promised land. But even after they left Egypt, they didn't immediately enter the promised land. Their journey took 40 years. And what is amazing is that that journey from Mount Sinai to Kadesh Barnia, the place where they were supposed to enter the land, could have been much shorter. Deuteronomy 1.2 says it takes 11 days to go from Horeb to Kadesh Barnia by the Mount Sarah Road. Think about that. 11 days versus 40 years. Now I don't know about you, but I would have just taken the 11 days. It makes me think about how sometimes God has a promise for us, but there is also a process of preparation. God may have already promised something, but He may be preparing us to receive it. Sometimes the delay isn't denial. Sometimes God is developing our faith, our character, our obedience, and our dependence on Him. And I could testify to that because I've seen how much growth now that I have been in this walk with the Christian faith for so long. And another scripture that really speaks to my heart is James 2.5, where it says, Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? That really speaks to me. Sometimes we may feel like we don't have enough. We may be overlooked, we may feel undervalued, we may look at what the world has and think, I don't have what they have, but God doesn't measure our worth the way the world does. God sees our faith. And sometimes all we need is a childlike faith. In Matthew 17, 20, he says, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. Think about the size of a mustard seed. And it's so true. Like when you pray for somebody and you just declare the word of God over that person, maybe they're asking for healing in their body, you speak it with faith, and God will work on our behalf. The Holy Spirit will come and work on our behalf. So just like how a mustard seed is small, but Jesus said, faith that is even that small can move mountains. That means we don't have to have perfect faith. We just need to trust the one who is greater than the mountain. Amen. And how do we communicate with God? Through prayer. That's a prayer is a communication to our Heavenly Father. Jeremiah 33, 3 says, Call me, call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. That means he can even tell you his secrets. God wants us to come him, come to him. He wants us to ask. He wants us to seek him. He wants us to trust him. Just like how in Matthew 7, 7 through 8 says, Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be open to you. For everyone who asks receives. The one who seeks finds. And to the one who knocks, the door will be open. God promises are not simply about what we can receive materially. They are about knowing Him, walking with Him, and receiving the inheritance He has prepared for us. An unexpected blessing is a personal testimony that I can share. I remember when I was preparing to go on a mission trip to Brazil, I had been reaching out to people and sending information to some sponsors, asking if anyone would like to support me on my mission trip. I shared it with a small group leader and she ended up sharing it with the rest of the small group. I haven't met any of all the women in that group, just a couple, and one of the ladies called me. She asked me about my plans for the mission trip, what I was gonna be doing there, and everything else, and is everything else coming together? After listening to me, she said, okay, I'd like to donate $1,050. I literally had to ask her again, wait, what did you just say? Because I couldn't believe it. This was a woman I have never met, and she wanted to give $1,050 to help me go on this mission trip. I almost fell out of my chair, but she simply wanted to bless me and help me go. And that experience reminded me that sometimes God provides in ways we never expect. We plant a seed of faith, we trust God, we obey his calling, and then we allow him to take care of the provision. How amazing is that? And there are so much more testimonies on my mission trip feels of how people just donate and sponsor. But that one was the one that I really love just um sharing about people because it's our faith and how God does give us the promise and inheritance that we too can have here on this earth. But here's the most beautiful part. Our inheritance is in Christ isn't temporary. In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade. This in this inheritance is kept in heaven for you. 1 Peter 1, 3 to 4 says, that's powerful right there. An inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade. Everything on earth eventually gets old, right? Our houses get old, our cars get old, money can disappear, things can break. But the inheritance God has prepared prepared for his children, for me, for you, is eternal. When I think about heaven, I think about the beauty of God's presence and a place where there is no more death, mourning, crying, or pain, just like how he mentioned it in Revelation 21 through 4. That is an inheritance I want. And also we are co-heres with Christ, and we're we and we aren't just receiving inheritance from God, we are also called co-hairs with Christ. And it talks about in Romans 8, 16 through 17, where it says, the Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now, if we are children, then we are hairs, heirs of God and co-heres with Christ. If indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Think about that. We are children of God, and if we are children, then we are heirs. And if we are hairs, we are co-hares with Christ. That means we share in the promises and blessings of belonging to God. Amen. We have everything that God has. You just gotta ask for it. That's why he said, Ask not, you have not because you asked not. So that's why it's good to ask the Lord when we do pray and he will bless us. And this is where the Holy Spirit comes in, too. The Holy Spirit is our guarantee. In Ephesians 1:13 to 14, it says, When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal. The promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession to the praise of his glory. The Holy Spirit is our helper, he is the one we confide in, he is the one we can ask for guidance, he reminds us of God's promises, he leads us and comforts us, and he is the guarantee of the inheritance we have in Christ. Another scripture that really stood out to me is Colossians 3, 23 through 24. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. The scripture really speaks to me, especially when I think about my mission trips. There have been times when I've been in another country serving the Lord and I've wondered, God, what's happening back home? How are things going? But when we're serving the Lord, we have to remember that our reward doesn't always come immediately. Sometimes we're waiting or planting or serving, sometimes we're praying, sometimes we're working behind the scenes, but God sees it all. Hebrews 6.10 says, God is not unjust. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown him. So don't give up just because you don't see the promise yet. Don't start serving because you haven't seen the harvest. Don't stop praying because you haven't received the answer, or don't stop trusting because the timeline doesn't look the way you expected. God's timing is not our timing. You got to keep your eyes on him, just serve him, trust him, believe in his promise. Because sometimes the greatest blessing isn't receiving the promise immediately. Sometimes a blessing is in the what God develops inside of you while you are waiting for the promise. So today I want to encourage you, you have an inheritance in Christ. You are a child of God. You are a co-hair with Christ. You have the promise of the Holy Spirit, you have an eternal, eternal inheritance that can never perish, spoil, or fade. And whatever God has promised, continue to trust Him. Don't let the waiting season make you forget the God, the God who made the promise. You got to keep praying, believing, worshiping Him, serving Him, and keep your eyes on Jesus. Keep your eyes on the prize. Before we leave, I just want to say a quick prayer for you. Father, I thank you for my inheritance and all your benefits. I thank you for the overflow of your favor and blessings from the kingdom of heaven. Lord, enlarge our territory, let your hand be with me for with us forever we go and bless the work of our hands according to your will. As 1 Chronicles 4 10 says, enlarge our territory and let your hand be with us. In Jesus' name, amen, amen, and amen.
